Emergency Preparedness

Why Being Prepared Matters:

  • Your own personal and family preparedness helps you to be ready when disaster hits, and you can assist friends and neighbors when they need it.
  • A prepared community must start with each one of us.  If you are interested and willing to do more, please see the opportunities for volunteers below.
  • Preparedness helps us be more resilient during times of stress and disaster, reducing negative effects and helping our communities recover quicker.

Your Local Livingston County Team

  • Our staff work with County partners to be ready for the next health-related emergency, such as natural disasters, severe weather, medical emergency, and mass casualties.
