Livingston County Celebrates National County Government Month

Home Posted on April 03, 2025

GENESEO, N.Y., April 3, 2025 — Livingston County has officially proclaimed April as National County Government Month (NCGM), joining counties nationwide in highlighting the essential programs and services they provide every day.

Since 1991, the National Association of Counties (NACo) has organized NCGM to promote the vital role of county governments. This year, Livingston County will spotlight its programs and services through social media campaigns and resources on its website, with the goal of raising public awareness of the County’s direct impact on residents’ lives.

“National County Government Month is a great opportunity to share the essential programs and services Livingston County delivers throughout the year,” said County Board Chair David LeFeber. “From public health and safety to infrastructure and workforce development, the Livingston County team is dedicated to creating strong, thriving and resilient communities. I encourage all our residents to participate in National County Government Month and learn more about the role our County plays in their daily lives.”
