MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y., March. 26, 2025 — The Livingston County Department of Health will host a free community baby shower April 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the building one conference center on the County’s Murray Hill Campus in Mount Morris.
The educational event will provide support and resources for new and expecting moms, families at any stage of parenting, and interested residents from across Livingston County. More than 10 community partners will be on hand to meet families, share information, provide car seat safety checks, and more. Registration is not required for the event.
The community baby shower is a collaboration between the County’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); Lead Poisoning Prevention; Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN); and Perinatal Infant Community Health Collaborative (PICHC) programs. They aim to make the day a celebration of parents, guardians, and caregivers with children at any stage of life.
Organizers will include a raffle in the day’s activities, along with giveaways of gas gift cards, nursing pillows, electric tooth brushes, pack and plays, goody bags, kids clothing, and more. Those bringing children can sign up for kid’s ID badges issued by the County Sheriff’s Office, and take part in games and face painting throughout the shower.
Community partners attending the event include:
