Livingston County Board of Supervisors Holds Organizational Meeting, LeFeber Re-Elected as Chair

GENESEO, N.Y., Jan. 3, 2025 — The Livingston County Board of Supervisors held its annual organizational meeting today to determine key leadership positions and committee assignments. Avon Town Supervisor David L. LeFeber was re-elected as the chairperson of the board for the eighth consecutive year, while Caledonia Town Supervisor Daniel Pangrazio was re-appointed vice chair of the board.

 

“I’m honored to have the confidence and support of my fellow supervisors and to once again be elected as board chair,” said LeFeber, who was first elected to the Livingston County Board of Supervisors in 2002. “I’m excited to continue working to provide our residents with innovative programming and services that enhance the quality of life throughout our county.” 

 

The chair for each standing committee will remain the same in 2025 with Ms. Merilee Walker, Town of Nunda, chairing Human Services, Mr. Gerald Deming, Town of York, chairing Public Services and Mr. Dwight Knapp, Town of Ossian, chairing the Ways and Means committee.

 

Human Services Committee: Ms. Merilee Walker (chair, Nunda), Ms. Susan Erdle (vice chair, West Sparta), Mr. Ivan Davis (Portage), Mr. Gregory Horr (North Dansville), Mr. Donald Wester (Conesus), Mr. David LeFeber (Avon), Mr. Daniel Pangrazio (Caledonia)

 

Public Services Committee: Mr. Gerald Deming (chair, York), Mr. Mark Schuster (vice chair, Sparta), Mr. William Devine (Groveland), Ms. Deborah Babbitt Henry (Springwater), Mr. Richard White (Leicester), Mr. David LeFeber (Avon), Mr. Daniel Pangrazio (Caledonia)

 

Ways and Means Committee: Mr. Dwight Knapp (chair, Ossian), Mr. William Wadsworth (vice chair, Geneseo), Mr. David DiSalvo (Mount Morris), Mr. Michael Falk (Lima), Mr. Eric Gott (Livonia), Mr. David LeFeber (Avon), Mr. Daniel Pangrazio (Caledonia) 

 

The Livingston County Board of Supervisors meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. inside the Livingston County Government Center located at 6 Court Street, Geneseo, N.Y. 14454.
