4th Annual Al Lorenz Park Family Fest to Return for Day of Free Family Fun June 7

Home Posted on May 01, 2025

MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y., May 1, 2025 — Livingston County is excited to announce the return of the Al Lorenz Park Family Fest on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the County’s Al Lorenz Park in Mount Morris. Now in its fourth year, the County’s largest free family festival promises a memorable day filled with games, live music, food, and community spirit.

Family Fest is open to all County residents and will feature a variety of kid-themed attractions, including a youth fishing derby, 1K family fun run, magic show, basketball spot shooting challenge, ropes course, face painting, arts and crafts, and much more. The event is hosted by Livingston County and was created to highlight the County-owned Al Lorenz Park, including its new trails, pavilions, and other amenities.

“We are thrilled to welcome everyone to Al Lorenz Park for our fourth annual Family Fest. The park is a bit of a ‘hidden gem’ in Livingston County, and events like this really bring our community together,” said Livingston County Administrator Dave Pribulka. “All are invited to be a part of this special day in our County.”

Attendees making their way through the park should be on the lookout for special guest the Amazing Magic Joe. The local magician will be astonishing festivalgoers with visual comedy and fast-paced magic as he travels across the park, culminating in a live magic show near the playground at 1 p.m. Other attractions include a classic car show, scavenger hunt, and a ropes course presented by representatives from the County’s Office of Emergency Management.

“We’re so excited to bring this event back again this year,” said Family Fest Chairperson Dana Henry. “Come celebrate our gorgeous County park with the community and have some fun.”

Organizers recommend festival guests park in the lot at the top of Murray Hill across from the County’s Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation or on the upper campus in front of and behind building 2. A wheelchair-accessible shuttle service will be available there on the Murray Hill Campus from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to transport attendees to and from the park. The shuttles will run approximately every 15 minutes. Signage will direct visitors as they enter the campus. The event will take place rain or shine.

Family Fest will coincide with the annual Destination Wellness Fair, hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County, at the County’s adjacent Murray Hill Campus from 9 a.m. to noon. The safety and wellness-themed event will feature free child passenger safety seat checks and much more. Organizers encourage Family Fest visitors to attend both events for a full day of family fun with Livingston County.

To avoid lines and streamline entry, guests may pre-register themselves or their families online prior to the event here. Visit the official 4th Annual Al Lorenz Park Family Fest website for more, including activity details, event schedules, and a map of the park.
